LEBANON STRAWBERRY CENTURY 6.8.24

SOME MEMORIES

 SHOUDN'T BE ALLOWED

TO FADE AWAY

In the early 1990s, Lebanon's Santiam Spokes Bicycle club coordinated the first ever Strawberry Century supported bicycle ride in the lush Willamette Valley.

Well known for its scenic, low-traveled rural backroads; family-friendly atmosphere;  kind, hospitable volunteer support; and the namesake finish line shortcake dessert, it makes sense that so many cyclists across the Northwest call this their favorite supported summer cycling event.

In response to the recent announcement that the Santiam Spokes Bicycle club doesn't have the capacity to coordinate the event in 2024- four Lebanon locals, all of whom tackled their first 100 mile ride at the iconic Strawberry Century, decided their fond memories of the event were valuable, and that those memories deserve to keep riding on. See you in Lebanon, Oregon on June 8, 2024.

WHAT PEOPLE
ARE SAYING

It's such a treat to get out of the Portland Metro area and ride my bike on quiet farm roads.

Hanna M, 42

It doesn't matter how hard the climbs might be or how hard a headwind might blow in your face...any ride that finishes with strawberry shortcake cures all.

Tara S, 28

The Strawberry was my first supported ride in 2010. I still get chills thinking of how beautiful it is to ride along the Santiam River.

Jason W, 36

"The Strawberry Century was my first century ride. I would have never guessed at the time that it would become the stepping stone that would lead me into cycling adventures around the world!"
